Australian Technology Awards reward the best and brightest

Australia's best and brightest technology talent was assembled last night at the Sheraton on the Park for the second annual Australian Technology Awards.

A joint initiative of PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Technology Transactions, the Australian Technology Awards seeks to draw the attention of the investment and professional communities to excellence in technological development and application.

"Australia is set for a very bright and robust future as a knowledge based economy going by the number and quality of the nominations we received for the Awards," said Denis Hanley, Chairman of the Australian Technology Awards Judging Committee. "A number of the companies recognised tonight have the potential to become billion dollar entities as they expand globally.

Among the winners was DADANCO Pty Limited, who took away the Excellence in the Development of Technology from an Organisation Employing less than 50 People award.

DADANCO is a world leader in innovative design of air conditioning systems and equipment. Based in Adelaide, Australia the company manufactures the STARLINE range of perimeter induction air conditioning system units.

The technology has been adapted by DADANCO into refurbishment, retro-fit and custom-designed new systems suitable for office buildings, hotels, hospitals, schools/colleges, airport lounges, department stores and public areas.
