The innovative STARLINE range of perimeter zone induction terminal units incorporates
DADANCO patented multi-lobe nozzles
for higher efficiency and maximum performance per litre/second of primary air.
The profiled-wall mixing chamber
arrangement produces the same, if not better, air conditioning efficiency as any other air conditioning system
but with more flexibility.
STARLINE terminal units provide a cost competitive, energy efficient, low
maintenance air conditioning solution for building refurbishments or new construction where higher
energy efficiency is a design consideration.
STARLINE perimeter units increase the entrainment of secondary room air by up to 77% resulting in a 50% increase in capacity, and achieve
noise levels as low as NR28. For a given primary airflow, noise can be decreased between 5 and 10dB
compared to older generation induction units.
Individual or group unit control - Every office or meeting room on every floor served with STARLINE
units can be individually controlled to suit individual needs.
In new buildings, the installed space reduction provided by the smaller infrastructure needed for STARLINE induction
terminal units translates into reduced slab-to-slab clearance which can accumulate to create an extra floor
for every 12 conventional floors.
In existing induction unit systems,
floor mounted units can be replaced with new STARLINE ceiling mounted units, recovering valuable lettable space.
As there are no moving parts in STARLINE perimeter induction units,
maintenance is minimised to annual inspection and cleaning.
Novel high performance multi-lobe nozzles and superior fluid dynamic design combine to deliver
higher cooling performance at lower primary air pressures in STARLINE terminal air conditioning units.
Compared to concealed space fan-coil units, STARLINE terminal air conditioning units use primary air and not a fan to induce secondary
room air through the cooling coil within the unit for energy efficient, quiet and
vibration free operation. Efficient air induction process delivers higher secondary cooling capacities for
NO ADDITIONAL FAN POWER REQUIREMENT.
State-of-the-art computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis is used by DADANCO in the design of STARLINE
terminal air conditioning units to develop improved unit geometry and for the prediction of
STARLINE terminal air conditioning unit performance.

Advantages
of STARLINE Terminal Units |
 |
STARLINE terminal units supply higher cooling
and heating performance for as little primary air as is needed to satisfy the outside air
ventilation requirements in the conditioned space. |
 |
Deliver higher capacities for less air to help achieve higher NABERS and green star ratings. |
 |
Compact dimensions and intrinsically smaller primary air
duct sizes offer real savings in space requirements compared with conventional all-air air conditioning systems. |
 |
Fan power is dramatically reduced.
STARLINE terminal units deliver more cooling capacity using less treated air than any all-air system. |
 |
Higher secondary air entrainment rates mean increased secondary cooling for NO ADDITIONAL FAN POWER REQUIREMENT. |
 |
STARLINE terminal units provide improved constant volume air distribution to the conditioned space. |
 |
Noise radiated from STARLINE terminal units is inherently low compared to most induction units, helping
to achieve space noise levels below the values recommended for quality office and other spaces, including audio visual conference rooms. |
 |
Offer a cost-effective means
of upgrading HVAC systems by adding the latest air conditioning technology to existing ductwork, on-floor infrastructure and controls. |
 |
Can be fitted easily into existing primary air systems and tight ceiling spaces. |
 |
STARLINE terminal units have no moving parts and require minimal maintenance. |
 |
Feature simple, low maintenance, reliable design. |
